The Newfield Terrace Community Center mourns the passing of Robert E. Jones, a cherished founding member of the Newfield Terrace Action Organization and a pillar of our community. He lived an extraordinary 98 years, leaving behind a legacy of service, kindness, and dedication.
Robert was not only a founding voice but a working board member until recent, who led by example. Whether he was cutting grass under the summer sun, handling electrical repairs, or lending a steady hand at the food pantry, he gave his time generously and without hesitation. His contributions helped shape the spirit and strength of our center, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Beyond his service, Robert was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He brought warmth and humor wherever he went, known for his good laugh and his ability to share a quick story that could brighten anyone’s day. His stories connected generations, and his laughter filled our halls.
We honor Robert E. Jones for the life he lived and the community he helped build. His legacy will continue in the work we do and the people he inspired.

He lived his life with such grace. My last living family member in his generation. Now on to the next generation. Uncle Bobby will definitely be missed by his family and the community. Rest in Peace Uncle.💔💔
