Honoring the Legacy of Two Beloved Community Servants

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of two cherished members of the Newfield Terrace Community Center family, Rudolph & Marlene Aikens. These dedicated individuals gave over 35 years of tireless service to the center and the greater community. Their leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment helped shape the heart of Newfield Terrace into what it is today.

For decades, they took the lead in organizing programs, mentoring youth, and ensuring the center remained a welcoming and supportive space for all. Their work was never just a job—it was their life’s calling. Through every challenge and every celebration, they were there, always putting the community first.

Their legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, and all who were touched by their extraordinary lives.
