🎄 2024 Holiday with a Hero 🎄
The Franklin Township Police Department and Newfield Terrace Community Center hosted Holiday with a Hero today for 78 kids that live in Franklin Township, Elk Township, Newfield Borough, Clayton, & Buena Borough.
This event is our way of giving back to those that need it most. With the help of our local schools and our community business leaders we were able to raise almost $17,000 to take these children on a holiday shopping extravaganza that they will never forget.
We could not do this without the support of our community and the members of the Newfield Terrace Community Center. Tons of volunteers from Newfield Bank, Exit Reality, and our local fire departments fed the kids this morning before we were off in a parade of fire trucks and police cars to Walmart. It truly was a magical moment that shows the true meaning of the holiday season.
We could not do this event without the overwhelming amount of Heroes that volunteered their time to spend with these children. We cannot thank enough the members of the Franklin Township Police Department, Clayton Police Department, Elk Township Police Department, Monroe Township Police Department, Gloucester County Sheriffs Department, Franklinville Fire Company, Malaga Fire Department, Janvier Fire Department, Star Cross Fire Department, Forest Grove Fire Department, and Newfield Fire Department for their continued support of our communities.
This was such a special event and we are so grateful to be able to give back to the youth of our community and form a special bond that will last forever. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!! 🧑🎄 👮 🎄 🎁
