A Bit About Us
Committed to Serving the Community
At Newfield Terrace Community Center (NTCC), we are committed to enhancing the lives of members in the community through our wide range of activities and events. Over the years, we have been recognized as the leading community center and go the extra mile to make sure our members are happy with our services.
Since opening our doors to the community in 1977, we have provided members the chance to get together and experience what we’re all about. Our mission has always been to provide a cultural and educational experience for members of the Newfield (Gloucester County) community — and we’ve done everything we can to achieve this goal to this very day.

Seniors
NTCC Senior Program is dedicated to working with senior citizens by providing access to their recreational, social and educational needs and desires, by providing assistance and opportunities to meet. The Seniors group coordinates and implements leisure time activities by scheduling events, reserving facilities, arranging for presentations by guest speakers, organizing field trips, etc., which are consistent with the needs and interests of senior citizens within the community.
After-School Enrichment
The Newfield Terrace Community Youth Enrichment Program (NTCYEP) is a weekly after-school enrichment program that service 15-20 youth in Franklin Township, NJ within Gloucester County. The NTCYEP, which is a program under the jurisdiction of the Newfield Terrace Community Action Organization, offers youth in Newfield Terrace the opportunity to participate in enrichment programming which includes community service projects, social emotional workshops/learning, academic support and a healthy meal during service time. The program has been in existence for over 30 years in a much more limited capacity. The program mimics the NJ Department of Education school calendar and service take place from 5:30pm-7:30 pm on Tuesday nights as well as one Saturday a month from 9:00am to 12:30pm for recreational activities/projects. We currently service 15-20 youth but do have additional goals to offer more effective service and compliment learning in traditional day school. We are looking to expand our technology capabilities to start a STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Art/Math) program with the purchase of science equipment for research and experimentation. This program will allow us to create a youth community garden on site and add an art/expression curriculum.
NTCAO Board Members
The purpose of the Newfield Terrace Community Center Board is to develop, operate, maintain, and promote the Community Center Building and its use. The board members are responsible to establish rules and policies for center development and operations. The board consists of minimum of 10 members with each member appointed to a two year term. All members of the community are invited to join and become members of the organization. Meetings are held monthly, or every other month, on the third Monday of the month at 6:00 pm.
Food Assistance
NTCC strives to serve the community whenever needed. Through partnerships with 3rd party organizations we have been able to provide food assistance during difficult times. All donated food is dispensed to the community and during those times when we are not stocked with food we are able to direct our neighbors to the nearest services.
